End of School

The end of school is always a rush of projects and papers that you have to wonder if they couldn't have been done at a different time.
Battering Ram!  That cost a pretty penny!

Samuel also competed in one more track meet, representing the state of New Mexico.  Carl Lewis showed up and Samuel got to shake hands with him.  He got many looks by recruiters, all who wished him good luck after they realized he had graduated a little while ago.  If we had only known what we do now, last year!

Sam just showed off his flipping as the New Mexico team walked by fans.  Very impressive!
He got his farthest jump ever in the triple jump this meet!
He had no idea who Carl Lewis was.  We had to tell him and make him go down and shake hands.  Kids these days!  ha ha!

 We had band concerts
And banquets.   Here is the track records board that isn't updated with Sam's latest records, but at least his name is on there!  Joseph had a tennis banquet but none of us could go.  Sam had to drive him to it.  So sad!  I loved those tennis coaches!
Robert actually got braces on his lower teeth.  That's all the Army was willing to fix.  They hurt him a  lot and he was glad to get them off in 6 months.
And we celebrated Max's 13th birthday with the Deacon's quorum.

 Happy Birthday Buddy Max!!

Back to Graduation

We now have to go back in time 2 days to show you graduation.  Yes these kids graduated from the school and then represented that school at the State Track meet.
Seniors getting ready to receive their diplomas
 It was windy!

Our favorite teacher/coach!

Several days later, on Sunday we had Sam dress up again and take better pictures!
 With his Grandparents Keck
 And his Grandparents Thomson
 And of course us!

And then we hosted a party!!!
We had a S'mores bar which was off the hook!
and street tacos- chicken, pork or brisket
and Diploma cookies which tasted even better than they looked!

Congratulations Samuel!
